STAGE
Getting to the Foundation stage means you are officially open for business. Congrats!
You not only have begun offering your services and getting clients, but you can begin to test various marketing techniques, and you may begin to refine or evolve the way you’re delivering your services with the feedback you’ve been receiving and/or what you’ve been learning about yourself, your market, or your particular service industry.
This stage is all about getting the business basics in place so you have a strong foundation to build on. This is crucial when moving into the next stages of business growth, Momentum and Abundant Expansion.
If you don't get all the foundations in place while you're in this stage, you'll find yourself continually getting pulled back into Foundation as you try to expand and grow.

Your creative business is starting to take shape, and now it's time develop a strong foundation to build on!
Does this sound like you...?
- You've been serving others with what you've created, therefore you know the process of communicating what you do (marketing online or networking/sales in person), listening to your customer/client needs, getting hired, and delivering
- You have offers and pricing. You may still be experimenting and learning, but you have already begun to learn a lot about what works/doesn't work either from client feedback, or your own level of dissatisfaction and burnout.
- You have paying customers/clients, but your sales consistency and process could be refined.
- You have learned what your niche is and who you serve. Or you've come to realize that you need to refine your niche, due to your own evolution/personal experience/preference.

- Marketing avenues where you’ve been finding your clients

WATCH OUT FOR THESE Common Pitfalls
A common pitfall here is you’re working a lot IN your business and often not enough ON your business.
An example of this is you get so caught up on serving your clients, that you’re not marketing your business anymore, or you’re not putting the systems or people in place that will help you grow.
You could be serving the wrong niche/target market or attracting the wrong type of client with your messaging.
You may need to reset the container in which you're working, or revise your
business/revenue model in order to gain traction for Momentum.
