After 13 (!) years, I’ve finally made it overseas again! The last time was in ’98 when I went to London for a weekend & then traveled through Spain for 2 weeks. Odd to think back on, considering that was really before cell phones, digital cameras or the internet as we know it! Needless to say, it has completely slayed me that it’s taken me this long to get back over here… and after 3 days exploring beautiful Prague, I’m still pinching myself!
Every single view here is absolutely breathtaking. I mean, I feel fortunate to live in San Francisco – what I deem to be one of the most beautiful cities in the whole world – but Prague is downright majestic. Add to that, that I desperately needed a vacation and I’m in heaven.
One of the best parts of being here is that I’m visiting my friend, Rick, who has lived here for 2 years and I have missed so much! He lives right on the river and super close to everything. He knows a fair bit of Czech & has been an amazing tour guide so far! This building – called The Dancing Building, by Frank Gehry – is just across the bridge from where I’m staying:
I have a ton more photos and videos coming soon, but I was several months behind uploading photos to Flickr and so I’m determined to upload the backlog before I upload these travel pics. In the meantime, there are a few Instagrams getting posted to my Twitter, Facebook & a Prague Flickr set.
