I’ve been "Getting Paid to Create It" since '99!
I know, that makes me a dinosaur in internet years, right? But I've seen it all–navigated through many ups and downs–and I can honestly say I love it now more than ever!
- I built my first website in 1997 which eventually landed me my very first "paid to be creative" gig doing illustration and animation at a Silicon Valley startup in ’99. By 2003, I went all-in on self-employment and have founded and co-founded over half a dozen creative businesses and startups since.
- By 2007, I was speaking on stages, coaching, and consulting to help other creatives sell online. In 2011, I launched a professionally produced video series on Creative Sustainability (aka how to do what you love without burning out), followed by my first online course in 2012… and many more since!
- In 2014, I got certified as a Big Leap Coach [via The Hendricks Institute] and officially became a location-independent expat when I moved to SE Asia. I launched my first online group mastermind in 2015 and have been running them ever since, helping thousands of entrepreneurs around the globe grow their businesses online.
- Fast forward to 2024, I self-published my first book, Double Down on Your Genius, and it hit bestseller status in multiple categories!
